Bio

Niall de Buitléar was born in Dublin in 1983 where he currently lives. He graduated from Dublin Institute of technology with a BA in fine art in 2006. He was awarded the Launch Emerging Artist's Award and the Flax Art Graduate Residency. He is currently an associate member of Flax Art Studios, Belfast. His work has featured in exhibitions throughout Ireland including The BiG Store at Temple Bar Gallery and Studios, a site-specific installation in Galway at Tulca 2006 and a two person show at Queen Street Studios, Belfast. In 2007 he was invited to participate in An Exhibition in 5 Chapters at the Contemporary Art Centre in Vilnius. His first solo show takes place at the Lab in Dublin in February 2008.
